Smuggler's Notch Day #1

For midwinter break, I'm going to a ski resort in Vermont called Smuggler's Notch. I'm going with my parents and with Alexander.
We got to the resort in record time- it only took us 6 hours to get to the resort! Most of the time, it takes us more like 8 or 9 hours to get there. The car ride was great! Alexander brought this huge bag of cheese puffy things, and my parents got the white dust of the cheese puffy things all over the car. We listened to an audio book for a while. Then, Alexander attached his ITouch to the radio thing in the front of the car, and we listened to some Green Day songs.
I also had gotten a Flip the day before, so I taped a couple of videos. One video showed Alexander's parents saying good bye- they were not coming on the trip. They sang a song that went like this:
"Bye, bye, Zander, bye, bye, Zander, bye, bye, Zander, we hate to see you go- BYE!!!!" It was really funny. Then, Alexander got all mad and said, "You guys are sooooo mean!" That just made the grown-ups laugh even harder. Even now, Alexander keeps on saying, "That was COLD!"
Another video shows one of our breaks for gas. My mom got out to, "Stretch her legs!" and started doing jumping jacks! I thought I was going to die. That is real, live proof that my family is a comedy show.
The next day, Alexander and I had a TERRIBLE, HORRIBLE, NO GOOD VERY BAD DAY!
First, the weather was SUPER DUPER LUPER KUPER cold, and my fingers got so cold that I cried. CRIED! Alexander was the gentleman and gave me his hand warmer, but I realized that hand warmers are too big to touch the fingers, unless your'e wearing mittens, which I wasn't. Then he said "so I froze my butt off for nothing?!" (Also, if you pulled your fingers out of the fingers of the glove and wrapped your fingers around the hand warmer, your hand could keep warm. BUT.... the group had ski poles, so if I took my fingers out of the gloves' fingers, the ski poles fell down. So I told my teacher that I needed to put my ski poles somewhere, because I wasn't going to use them. Luckily, the teacher found a spot for my poles. Lesson- Never ski with ski poles.)

This is where I skied on the first day

SNOW DAY

Yay! A snow day! Today was really fun. I helped my Dad shovel snow, and I got to play in it. It snowed so much that I have a mini hill in my backyard and I sledded on it!

This is what I saw when I woke up this morning and opened my front door!

Here I am plowing snow in my back yard.
My dad showed me how to do it.
Here I am sliding down my back yard hill -
WHE-E-E-E!

OH NO -- got snow in my boots :(

THE CAT RETURNS

Today was a movie night at my school. We were watching the movie, The Cat Returns. I brought a fruit salad. The main course of the school dinner was... mac-n-cheese!!
Then we watched the movie. The Cat Returns is about a girl who saves a cat's life and all the trouble she goes through after that. It can be strange at times, but the king was really funny. I enjoyed the movie very much.
The Cat Returns  is a fun movie!

A Day With Danny and Nicholas

On Sunday, my cousins Danny and  Nicholas, who come from Miami, came over to my house for dinner. Nicholas discovered and was fascinated by my old unused Barbie car, which talks, and goes forwards and backwards. Danny discovered "The Annoying Orange" and loves it. I discovered that Danny and Nicholas are ALWAYS up to a bunch of fun- I had tons of THAT when we had the biggest pillow fight seen to mankind.
In all, the day was a ton of fun!
Danny is on the left, and Nicholas is in the middle.

The Awesome Snowstorm!!!!!

OMG!!!!!! I have just had the BEST weekend EVER!!!! Of course, there was the snowstorm. But I had a lot more than a snowstorm on my mind.
On the day of the snowstorm, my cousins came over. They are my cousins Angel and Idalis, and my aunt Kewy (prononced kiwi) and my uncle Pedro. They even brought their dog Nina, who is a Bichon Frise, the best breed of dog in the history of the universe!!!!!!
As the snowstorm got worse, I knew my cousins were going to have to stay at my house, but I never thought they would have to stay over for 2 nights and 3 days!! The only time we have been together more was when, like, half of my whole family went to Columbia for a giant family reunion.
This is me,  Angel, Idalis, and Nina, the dog.
Idalis was really happy staying over. She was like the only one who wanted to stay, for, like, a WEEK or something. But, still, I don't blame my cousin Angel for wanting to go back home, because we got the family a Kinect for Christmas and I bet Angel wanted to try it out. I guess Kewy was having a good time. She treats Nina like a princess, even though Nina had 3... well... PROBLEMS. And Pedro was DYING to get back to his house.
OH YEAH!!! This was a blessing from Mother Nature, I think!!! I LOVE spending time with family! Best snowstorm EVER!!!!!

This is our family dinner, with Idalis on the far left, Kewy on the
right next to her, and Angel after that. My parents are the ones standing
and Pedro is sitting to the right of them. And I'm the one with one closed eye- oops!

The book The Girl Who Could Fly

OMG!!!!! I just read this book and it was soooooooooo awesome!!!!! It is called The Girl Who Could Fly and I recommend it to anyone who loves action, sooo much emotion, and just a wonderful story. The book is about a girl named Piper McCloud. When she was a baby, she could float, and now, Piper can fly.  Afraid for their daughter's safety, they send her to a top secret school called I.N.S.A.N.E. But what seems like the only safe environment for Piper may be really the most dangerous place Piper has ever been to.
This book is awesome!!!
You gotta read it!!!!
This is the book's cover.

The Hard Nut

Yesterday, Alexander, my mom, my grandmother, and I went to see the ballet The Hard Nut. It was, like, AWESOME!! The Hard Nut is a modern twist to the ballet The Nutcracker. Did you know that what they play in The Nutcracker is NOT the origional story? The real stry includes Princess Pirlipat, the 7- headed mouse king, and the curse of the Hard Nut. The Hard Nut also included these things. It was also VERY FUNNY!!! In the dance of Snow, some of the dancers were boys!!! But, they were wearing cute little tutus and stuff! All the grown- ups were cracking up. And in the party, everyone "drank" and began doing bad stuff. All the grown-ups were laughing their heads off. In fact, it was NOTHING like the Nutcracker.  WHOA!!!!!!!!!! I will never again see The Nutcracker with the same eyes!!!!

Wolf-o-mania!

I have began really studying an awesome subject-  Yellowstone National Park! I love everything about it- the setting is aready amazing enough WITHOUT the animals! Check out this picture!
I want to find out as much as possible about Yellowstone, so I hope you don't mind, but if you know anything about Yellowstone, can you let me know/comment on my post? Thanks.
Another thing. Yellowstone is awesome, but I find one thing about Yellowstone awesome, cool, brilliant, and superb. WOLVES.
Wolves are AWESOME!!!!!! This is a picture I found- these wolves are from Yellowstone. I like wolves in general, but mostly Yellowstone wolves.

I would love if you told me everything you know about wolves. Also, I would like it if you answered my poll on the bottom of the blog about wolves.
WOLVES ARE AMAZING!
