This is a page about our class read-aloud, Where the Mountian Meets the Moon. The book is pretty cool: it tells about a girl called Minli, who sets out with a dragon to find the Old Man of the Moon, who could change her familiy's poor fortune. Just now, Minli and the dragon have become friends, and will soon resume the journey to Never-Ending Mountain to ask the Old Man Of the Moon a question.
Today, we learned that the monkeys were a really big problem. That's because they are super protective of the peach trees that grew in the forest. The way Minli found the dragon, called Dragon, was all tied up, and that was because the monkeys thought he would steal their fruit. The monkeys are sure greedy!

Later on in the book, Minli has to go to the City of Bright Moonlight to ask the guardian of the city for the borrowed line. Sounds very mysterios!!!

This is the author, Grace Lin.

On Friday, Phillp DeWitt , a writer and blogger, came to our class and talked about blogging with us. He talked all about how to make our blogs better. nd his advice is good: me and my mom thought that lots of people like dogs, so how about take pictures of them and put them on my blog? One person particapating in Project Dog even asked the name of my blog and that she would see if she could look at it!!! Thank you, Mr. DeWitt!!
